APEXA's innovative project wins Football for All Award

The third edition of the Futebol Para Todos Award is already confirmed

A project by APEXA – Algarve's Association for the Support of Exceptional Persons, to promote inclusion through sport, won the Futebol para Todos Award.

The “Liga Football for Inclusion” project aims to promote inclusion and equal opportunities for people with disabilities in sport through the participation of users and employees in the practice of adapted football.

The Portuguese Football Federation, the Algarve Football Association, the National Institute for Rehabilitation and the Portuguese Institute for Sport and Youth are the institutional partners of the initiative, which has the support of the FC “Os Armacenenses”, Guia FC, Immortal DC, and GD Lagoa.

The administrator of Grupo Impresa and president of SIC Esperança Mercedes Balsemão, the president of the Portuguese Red Cross Francisco George, the Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Population Fund and founder of Corações Com Coroa Catarina Furtado, the vice president of the FPF Humberto Coelho and FPF Women's Football Director Mónica Jorge formed the panel of judges who evaluated the applications submitted for the Futebol Para Todos Award.

The third edition of the Futebol Para Todos Award is already confirmed and will start in January 2020.
