Sardine fishing is now banned on weekends, holidays and Wednesdays, with the catch limit being maintained at 5000 tons until the end of this month.
“In addition to not being allowed to fish on weekends and on national holidays, sardine fishing is now prohibited on Wednesdays”, reads an order published in a supplement on Thursday in Diário da República.
