Fair already shows the best of what is done in the mountains in São Brás

Until Sunday

Feira da Serra opened yesterday, in São Brás de Alportel, showing, for four days, what is best done in the interior of the Algarve, especially in that municipality.

The inauguration of the event was presided over by José Artur Neves, Secretary of State for Civil Protection, in an act which was attended by almost all regional officials - RTA, ARS, Education, Agriculture and Fisheries, ICNF, IPDJ - , as well as other mayors , not only from the Algarve but also from the Alentejo.

Also present was Vítor Neto, who is the godfather of this edition of Feira da Serra, whose theme is the fig. The businessman is the current owner of the company Teófilo Fontaínhas Neto, founded by his father in São Bartolomeu de Messines and which became the largest exporter of dried fruits, namely figs, in the country.

On the first night, the performance of Calema attracted thousands of people, who even formed a line of hundreds of meters to buy tickets. Another attraction was the slide, which allows you to see the event from above.

For this Friday night, the 26th, the show by the timeless Gipsy Kings is reserved.

On Saturday, the 27th, the entertainment is on the hands of the HMB, ending the concert program with the performance of the “Cantar Amália” project. All these concerts start at 23:00.

Another highlight is the Feira da Serra riding arena: from Thursday to Sunday, from 19:30 pm to 21:15 pm, the youngest will be able to do their riding baptism. In addition, Núbia, the first purebred Lusitanian from São Brasense, will be presented on the 26th and 27th, at 22 pm.

Feira da Serra is also more ecological, with the introduction of reusable cups that can be bought in restaurants for 1 euro. The only drawback is that the cups have no return.

Bearing in mind that figs are the theme this year, on Palco Sabores, there are jams, jams, soaps, soaps, liqueurs and even butters made from figs. But there is much more to see, taste, taste and buy, namely handicrafts, figs and carob milk.

The daily ticket to Feira da Serra costs 4 euros. The four-day ticket is priced at 12 euros. The daily family ticket, with four tickets, also costs 12 euros. All tickets can be purchased here.
