“Vida Nova Reserva IGP Algarve Red 2015” by Adega do Cantor – Sociedade de Vitivinicultura, Lda, was the winner of the Great Gold Medal “The Best Algarve Wine”, at the 9th edition of the Algarve Wine Contest, which took place this Sunday, June XNUMX, at the Centro Cultural de Lagos.
In all, 111 wines were tasted, in an edition that had the partnership of the Municipality of Lagos and the technical organization of Associação Escanções de Portugal.
The judges, as well as the direction of the Association of Sommeliers of Portugal, highlighted the evolution of the Algarve Wines, whose high quality contributed to the attribution of 12 Gold Medals and 20 and Silver Medals, with no Bronze Medals.
CVA thanks the «significant adhesion of the region's producers to the XII Algarve Wine Contest and congratulates all the awarded producers».
The awards ceremony for the XII Algarve Wine Contest will take place on the 12th of July, at the Centro Cultural de Lagos.
