A 25-year-old man who, on 12 December last year, stabbed another, aged 47, in Olhão, was arrested this Thursday, 13 June, for the crime of attempted murder.
According to the Southern Directorate of the Judiciary Police, which made the arrest, the crime took place on a public street, next to a commercial establishment.
«Following the aggression, serious injuries would be caused which represented a concrete danger to the victim's life, were it not for the rapid assistance provided at the Centro Hospital Universitário do Algarve, in Faro», refers to the PJ.
«Thanks to a rigorous research work carried out», the PJ considers that it gathered «relevant evidential elements, culminating in the identification and arrest of the presumed author».
The detainee, foreigner, and with a criminal record for violent crimes, will be present at a judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures.
