Portimonense beat Marítimo by 3-2, in a game played this Saturday at Municipal de Portimão. The teams entered the field with guaranteed maintenance, but that was not why the game had less interest and emotion, including a re-run by the Algarve, who were losing most of the match.

Marítimo entered the game better and, on 26 minutes, Joel Tagueu, who had already threatened, opened the scoring, following a corner.

The islanders' advantage would last for a very short time. On minute 28, Tormena shot against the keeper of Marítimo Charles, the ball swerved to the far post and Henrique touched the line.

The assistant referee still raised the flag, due to offside potential, but the goal was actually validated after consulting the video referee (VAR).

At 38 minutes, the VAR went into action again, but this time it was Marítimo who benefited. The referee signaled a penalty against the Algarvians, in a move that, at first, was signaled offside to Barrera, in a play in which the maritimist entered the area and was knocked down by Leo.

But the referee, by indication of the VAR, ended up considering that there was no offside, but a foul by the goalkeeper of Portimonense on the player of Marítimo. Joel Tagueu was responsible for converting the maximum punishment and did not forgive.

Even before the break, the Madeiran team still managed to get the ball back in the goal of the Algarve, but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Portimonense returned from the dressing room with a desire to change the fate of the game and ended up getting the tie on 62 minutes and after Jackson had threatened Charles' goal twice.

It turned out to be Dener, who had entered at half-time, making it 2-2, following a free-kick by Tabata.

With an equalizer, the game accelerated and became more open, with both teams looking to score the third.

In the 78th minute, the home fans cheered up when they saw the referee signal a penalty in favor of Portimonense, by a Marítimo defender. But the judge ended up backing down with the decision, after seeing the images of the bid.

It wasn't at 78, but at 88 minutes, that the Algarve reached the third. In a corner, Jackson Martinez jumped higher than the island defenders and made it 3-2.

With this result, Portimonense, who had already guaranteed the maintenance, goes on to add 39 points and rises, to the condition, to 10th place in the I League.

This was also the day to go to the ball to help. In all, around 3 tons of food were collected to deliver to institutions in Portimão, donated by more than 2 people who watched the game at the Stadium.
