Lagoa: Rescued a young Dutch man who fainted on board a maritime tourist

Young was transported to Hospital de Portimão

A young 18-year-old Dutchman, who passed out on board a boat belonging to a maritime tourism company, near the Farol de Alfanzina, in Lagoa, was rescued this Thursday, at around 11:30 am, by the Ferragudo lifeboat.

According to the Maritime Authority, the Maritime Search and Rescue Center (MRCC) received "an alert transmitted via VHF radio, by a maritime tourist vessel along the coast", requesting "assistance for a fainting passenger".

The Captain of the Port of Portimão «immediately activated the Ferragudo lifeboat and its crew, which assisted and rescued the victim, to the location».

In Ferragudo, the young man was assisted by the Lagoa Fire Department and transported to the Portimão Hospital.
