The Office of Support for Victims (GAV) of Gender Violence of the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action (DIAP) of Faro goes into operation this Tuesday, May 28th.
This GAV is installed in the sections of Faro that department and integrates a technician from the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV).
«This is a response that ensures, in continuity, care, information, support and personalized referral of victims of domestic and gender violence, with a view to their respective protection», says the Public Ministry.
This office was created in March, through protocols signed between the Ministry of Justice and the Attorney General's Office and between these two entities and APAV.
