English fans who want to watch the final of the Champions League, scheduled for next Saturday, in Madrid, between Tottenham and Liverpool, are unable to find accommodation in the Spanish capital and are renting motorhomes in Faro, Lisbon and Porto.
Motorhome rental company Indie Campers “recorded a 1320% increase in bookings from the UK for cities near Madrid, including Lisbon, Faro and Porto».
According to the company, this increase "is a consequence of the lack of accommodation to watch the final of the Champions League".
Indie Campers explains that, «with the prices of hotels in Madrid soaring, and the accommodation options almost sold out, Indie Campers began to register an unexpected number of reservations for the season, identifying that many English fans, faced with this scenario of lack of accommodation, they go to the final of the Portuguese motorhome Champions League».
After the end of the Champions League semi-finals on the 7th and 8th of May, «UK customer bookings at Indie Campers skyrocketed for the dates between the 28th of May and the 1st of June (final day). The reservations in question are for the cities of Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Seville, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Faro and Porto, the cities close to the game where Indie Campers is present».
