Trio Pablo Lapidusas and Orquestra Clássica do Sul give an unprecedented concert in Lagoa

The union of musical styles will make it possible to create "a new sound that is expected to be surprising"

The Pablo Lapidusas International Trio (PLINT) will join the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, under the direction of conductor José Eduardo Gomes, in an unprecedented concert, scheduled for Saturday, May 4th, at 21 pm, at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, in Lagoa .

In this show by FIMA – Algarve International Music Festival, included in the “365Algarve“, two musical styles will be merged «in a total sharing of musical styles and influences, creating a new sound that is expected to be surprising», according to OCS.

Going beyond the boundaries of each musical genre, the concert features PLINT's authorial repertoire with orchestrations by Jaques Morelembaum, Luis Figueredo, Ehud Ettun and Rodrigo Morte, specially conceived for the Orquestra Clássica do Sul.

The concert organizers' idea was, moreover, to combine «apparently very distinct and sometimes distant universes»

Signed by Argentine pianist Pablo Lapidusas in collaboration with Cuban bassist Leo Espinosa and Brazilian drummer Marcelo Araújo, the PLINT project has been consolidating its place in the instrumental music scene, «celebrating the tradition of the Latin American musical universe allied to Asian influences that the trio absorbs as a result of numerous trips to the Orient», as the trio describes.

Tickets for the show cost 12 euros and can be purchased at the venue or online.
