Algarve national team (under-14) is in 7th in the Interassociações de feminine football

Competition was played by 21 regional teams

The Algarve team (under-14) took 7th place at the Interassociações de feminine football, which ended this Friday, April 12, in Castelo Branco.

The Algarve team started the tournament with two wins in the first two games, against the Horta counterparts (0-8), with Mafalda Nunes (2), Carolina Rodrigues, Lara Martins (2), Marta Gago, Jenifer Oliveira and Margarida Pacheco a to make a taste of the foot, and Viseu (1-3), with goals from Margarida Pacheco, Lara Martins and Marta Gago.

With these results, the athletes from the Algarve finished in first place in Group 5 and qualified for the Golden League, for which the eight best teams in the competition were qualified, and they arranged a meeting, the following day, with Lisbon.

The Lisbon team, which would become champions, defeated Algarve by 1-8, with Jenifer Oliveira scoring the goal of honor. This was followed by the Ponta Delgada Football Association for the Algarve to rank fifth to eighth in the competition.

After another defeat, this time by 2-1 (Luana Pacheco scored the Algarvian goal), the Algarve team was left to fight for seventh place, against Portalegre, a classification that was only defined in penalties (1-3) after 2-2 (Jenifer Oliveira and Luana Pacheco) in regular time.
