Rudimental, Plutonio, Toy, Blaya and Deejay Télio attend the Academic Week

Academic Week runs from 2 to 11 May at Largo de São Francisco, in Faro

Rudimental, Plutonio, Toy, Blaya and Deejay Télio are some of the strong names of the 34th Academic Week of the Algarve, which takes place from 2 to 11 May, at Largo de São Francisco, in Faro.

The party poster was released last night, April 4th, by the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg), in a camp of students.

As usual, the Academic Week begins with the traditional Monumental Opening Serenade, on Thursday, May 2nd, in the heart of Largo da Sé.

The next day (3), the “Wonderland” starts with Homies, Djeff and the first big name: Blaya. The artist, a Portuguese born in Brazil, who was part of Buraka Som Sistema, promises to liven up the party with hits like “Faz Gostoso”, “Vem na Vibe” and “Má Vida”.

Saturday, the 4th, it's time to go on stage Ana Malhoa. The night will also feature performances by Headhunterz, Dutch DJ, and I Love Baile Funk.

On Sunday, the 5th, which is usually a day with less crowds, the party is ensured by the popular music of Miguel Azevedo. On that day, the winner of the DJ competition promoted by Associação Académica will also perform.

 

The most dedicated day to pop/rock is Monday (6), with concerts by Hybrid Theory – a tribute band to Linkin Park -, Virgin Suta, Beja's group led by Jorge Benvinda, and also by the winner of the band competition .

On Tuesday, the 7th, popular music returns, with Rúben Filipe, Quim das Remisturas and…Toy. The musician from Setubal also promises to liven up “País das Maravilhas”, with his hit “Toda a Noite” and not only…

For Wednesday, the 8th, performances by Papillon and the DJ duo Bubba Brothers are reserved. The night will also feature a concert by Deejay Télio, who sings, together with Deedz B, the song “Happy Day”.

Thursday (9) is the day for tunas, as usual, with TunaBebes, Real Tuna Infantina, Feminis Ferventis and Versus Tuna on stage.

For the penultimate day of Academic Week (10), the Academic Association chose Plutonio, Djodje and Supasquad as artists.

The Algarvian student party ends on Saturday, 11th, with three more concerts, guaranteed by the duo Anjos, the brothers Sérgio and Nelson Rosado, Mishlawi and Rudimental, an English electronic music band formed in 2010 and which is one of the strong names of this Academic Week .
