Market of Faro there will be a defibrillator

A first aid bag will also be delivered

The Market of Faro will have, from this Thursday, April 18th, a defibrillator.

The Portuguese Cardiology Foundation, in partnership with Senilife and Jumbo hypermarkets, will deliver this defibrillator and an “Advance” first-aid kit.

According to the Chamber of Faro, «the defibrillation operational cards have already been delivered to six Ambi employeesfaro who provided training in Basic Life Support with Defibrillation and rescuer cards to 12 employees of the same entity, who provided training in first-aid».

For Nuno Godinho, one of the employees who carried out the training in Basic Life Support, «the equipment delivered is not only an asset for the users of the Municipal Market of Faro, but also for the surrounding community».

Employee Nuno Lampreia, who participated in first aid training, confessed that it was “very important to demystify the fear of acting”, stressing that “the important thing is to react and know how to do it”.

To Rogério Bacalhau, president of the Chamber of Faro, «the initiative is very interesting, as it translates into an increase in the feeling of security for the thousands of people who travel here daily».
