FIMA takes “Multipercussions” to São Brás

This is the 34th edition of the Algarve International Music Festival (FIMA)

The French musician Jean-François Lézé presents, this Saturday, April 6th, from 21 pm, the show “Multipercussions”, at the Cineteatro de São Brás de Alportel.

This show takes place within the scope of the 34th Algarve International Music Festival (FIMA) and is a «recital that will take the audience on a musical journey marked by diversity, exploring sounds ranging from ethnic-inspired music, to jazz and music contemporary”, according to the Orquestra Clássica do Sul.

«The French musician Jean-François Lézé has become, in the last two decades, an unavoidable name in percussion in our country».

Currently a timpanist of the Porto Symphonic Orchestra – Casa da Música, Lézé develops, in parallel, «an intense activity as a concert artist and as a composer, with his works being played all over the world».

In São Brás de Alportel, at the recently renovated Cineteatro São Brás, the musician will go “on stage accompanied by various percussion instruments as well as unexpected accessories, leaving the promise of a show marked by the originality of its sounds”.

The 34th Algarve International Music Festival runs until 31 May and invites artists of national and international renown such as maestro Maxime Tortelier, violinists Daniel Stabrawa and Christoph Koncz, percussionist Jean-François Lézé, violist Máté Szücs, the cellist Jed Barahal, soprano Dora Rodrigues and also groups such as Grupo Vocal Olisipo, Jordi Savall & Hespèrion XXI, PLINT – Pablo Lapidusas International Trio and Orquestra do Norte with conductor Jan Wierzba and cellist Marco Pereira.
