Festival of Contraband bid farewell with flooding in the streets

Floating bridge was once again one of the main attractions of the event

The Smuggling Festival, which reconnected Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana, ended this Sunday with a flood on both banks. Public from various parts of the Algarve, Alentejo and several Spanish cities “clogged” the arteries of the Algarve village, despite the threat of rain.

As usual, there was no lack of street entertainment, with several extras transporting the audience to other times. The floating bridge that, since Friday, connected the two villages, was once again one of the biggest attractions of this event.

See in the photo gallery how the last day of this festival was, which was part of the program of the 365 Algarve.
