Film Club of Faro celebrates 63 years in April

A cycle dedicated to Portuguese cinema and a jump to Alcoutim for another edition of Vídeo Lucem are the highlights of the Cineclube de Faro.

In the month in which it celebrates its 63rd birthday – the party took place this Sunday – the Farense association bets on national films.

The first film of the month's cycle, the work “Terra Franca”, by Leonor Teles, will be shown tomorrow, the 9th, in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, in Faroat 21 pm.

On April 16, at the same time, the action moves to Teatro das Figuras, where the work “Chuva é Cantoria na vila dos morte” by João Salaviza and Renée Nader Messora will be screened.

The last two sessions of the month will be at the IPDJ, on Tuesdays, always at 21:30 pm.

On April 23, the film “Raiva” by Sérgio Tréffaut will be screened. On the 30th, it will be the turn of the work “Diamantino”, by Gabriel Abrantes and Daniel Schmidt.

In between, on Friday, the 12th, there is Video Lucem at Espaço Guadiana, in Alcoutim. In this session of this project that integrates the programming of “365Algarve”, Ana Brandão and João Paulo Esteves da Silva will set music and accompany the film “Um Grito na Noite”, by the Algarve Carlos Porfírio, a work whose sound has been lost.

On Wednesday, at 15 pm, the Cineclube de Faro continues the cycle of tribute to Vítor Reia-Baptista “Herético e Libertário”, with the screening of the film “Gertrud”, by Carl Theodor Dreyer, at the IPDJ of Faro.
