The marcher Ana Cabecinha, an athlete from the Pechão Oriental Club, guaranteed, this weekend, the minimum for the World Athletics Championships that take place in September, in Doha (Qatar).
Ana Cabecinha achieved the qualifying mark in the 20 kilometers march, after competing in the Challenge of Lazaro Cardenas (Mexico), an event that is part of the International Athletics Federation calendar.
The athlete finished the race in 4th place, with a time of 1 hour, 31 minutes and 20 seconds.
Ana Cabecinha was even close to reaching the Olympic minimums.
