The Alcoutim Nautical Center will undergo refurbishment works, which should be completed by the end of 2019 and will cost around 234 euros.
The intervention aims to provide “better training conditions for athletes and greater power to attract teams outside the territory, for internships”.
For this, the existing building will be «refurbished and expanded, as well as equipped with various equipment» according to the City Council of Alcoutim.
The Alcoutim Nautical Center was created with a view to taking advantage of the sports and recreational potential of the Guadiana River. This infrastructure promotes the practice of water sports, including canoeing, recreation/leisure, training and competition.
The alcouteneja autarchy took advantage of the funds available in the Action Plan for the Development of Endogenous Resources (PADRE) to advance this work. Of the approximately 234 euros needed to carry out the work, 164 euros will be guaranteed by the European Union.
