fish go skip for the dish of anyone who goes to Pomarão on the 6th and 7th of April. The Rio Fish Festival returns to this town in the municipality of Mértola to celebrate the delicacies made with some of the inhabitants of the Guadiana.
The objective of the event, organized by the Chamber of Mértola, with the collaboration of several entities in the municipality, is to «value the resources of the Guadiana in terms of gastronomy, but also the tourist potential of the region», according to the municipality.
The program of this 7th edition of the festival «returns to traditional menus, in which lamprey, moo and eels are the main highlights, with lots of musical entertainment and fireworks on Saturday night».
