Tourist tax, health and forest debated in new Jornadas do Arade

Teia d'Impulsos once again promotes the debate on the present and future of the four municipalities of the Arade basin

The tourist tax, the National Health Service and forest management are some of the themes that will be discussed at the III Jornadas do Arade, which the Municipal Museum of Portimão will host on the 8th and 10th of March.

The event will seek to debate “the challenges of the present and the projections for the future of the four municipalities that make up the Arade Basin – Portimão, Lagoa, Silves and Monchique”, according to Teia D'Impulsos, which organizes the initiative.

One of the highlights will be the round table with the four mayors of the Arade Basin municipalities, who will be “invited to reflect on the paths taken and to embark on the development of this territory – a debate that is already a tradition at the Jornadas do Arade ».

Younger people are also invited to participate in this “exchange of ideas to promote local development, particularly in the areas of education, heritage, employment and sport”.

On the other hand, cultural heritage and inter-municipal cultural events will be debated, among other topics.
The event Portimão, European Capital of Sport will also be focused. It will be, moreover, with the promotion of sport at a local and regional scale “that the scientific program of the III Jornadas do Arade will be given the starting point”.
