The Loulé Rally will take place on the 9th and 10th of March, serving as the opening race of the Southern Rally Championship, a competition that starts for its 21st edition.

«Based on the Ameixial, the competitors will face the earth sections of the Serra da Caldeirão, one of the holy places of rallies and information to the general public when the world championship passes through these stops between 2007 and 2014», says the Clube Automóvel do Algarve.

The reconnaissance and administrative and technical checks will take place on the 9th (Saturday), and on Sunday (10) the competitors start for the 55,84 kilometers of race, divided into two special classification races, covered twice, during the period in the morning.

According to the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, “there is practically an equal proportion between kilometers of qualifying and connection kilometers, a rare fact in today's rallies and which ends up being a logistical benefit for competitors”.

The Loulé Rally is organized by the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, under the aegis of the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting, and has the support of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Councils of Ameixial and Salir.
