«This is an interdisciplinary proposal (music, video and poetry) that reinvents the work of the inspiring wanderer who marked several generations of musicians and audiences, reconstructing an affective, symbolic and musical geography of José Afonso's path in the region, making it known lesser known and curious aspects of that strong connection that so influenced his life and work, and presenting new clothes for his songs», explains the show's promoters.

In addition to musicians Luís Galrito, from Fronteira living in Loulé, and singer and musician João Afonso, nephew of José Afonso living in Lisbon, the group Barco do Diabo also includes musicians Rogério Pires, on guitar, and Paulo Pires, on guitar accordion, Sónia Pereira, reading texts (who, for health reasons, will not be able to attend and will be replaced by a representative of Alvor FM), and João Espada, responsible for production and audiovisuals.
