Tickets for the final of the Festival da Canção in Portimão are now on sale

Winner will represent Portugal at Eurovision

Tickets for the final of the Festival da Canção RTP, which takes place on March 2, at Portimão Arena, are now on sale and cost 5 euros. 

Tickets for the grand final were this Friday, February 15th, went on sale and can be purchased on here, by way online.

Tickets are also on sale at Portimão Arena (weekdays, 9:00 am to 13:00 pm and 14:00 pm-17:00 pm), at TEMPO – Portimão Municipal Theater (Tuesday to Saturday, 13:30 pm to 18:00 pm), at FNAC, Worten and El Corte stores English, at CTT – Correios de Portugal posts, at Youth Hostels, at the ABEP Agency – Lisbon.

The show is scheduled to start at 21:00 pm, with the opening of the doors at 19:30 pm and the closing of the concert hall at 20:30 pm, in order to ensure television transmission. Minimum age to attend is 6 years.

This Saturday, from 21 pm, you can follow the first semifinal live on RTP00, on RTP Internacional and RTP África, with the presentation of eight of the 1 candidates to represent Portugal at the Eurovision 16 Festival – Ana Cláudia, João Campos, Soraia Tavares , Calema, Conan Osiris, Ela Limão, Filipe Keil and Matay, in a show presented by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and Sónia Araújo, two well-known faces of the Portuguese public.

On February 23, from 21 pm, the second semifinal will take place, presented by Jorge Gabriel and Carlos Malato, with candidates: Lara Laquiz, Dan Riverman, Mariana Bragada, João Couto, Madrepaz, Surma, Mila Dores and NBC.

From each semifinal, four candidates will be elected for the Grand Final of the 53rd edition of the Festival da Canção, which will then take place, on March 2, at Portimão Arena, and will be conducted by presenters Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim.

The song chosen in Portimão will represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 (Eurovision Song Contest), which will take place on the 14th, 16th and 18th of May, in Tel Aviv, Israel.

«The candidates' presentation videos were recorded in Portimão and surrounding areas, in unique and singular experiences that tourists and visitors alike can enjoy throughout the year in the region», says the City Council.

«Driving a high-capacity car on a closed circuit, playing a game of golf, sailing along the coast or going up the Arade River, jumping from a plane at an altitude of 4.600 meters, enjoying a sunset in Alvor, visiting the Museum of Portimão , buying a place at the Municipal Market, learning to make Doce Fino or a cataplana, or participating in a kart race were some of the experiences offered to the 16 candidate artists and which, at any time, can be enjoyed by anyone visiting the municipality, within the scope of the its tourist offer».

The semifinals and Grand Final of the 53rd edition of the Festival da Canção da RTP will also be, like last year, broadcast with sign language through the RTP website, in the area of ​​accessibility.
