District Football: Esperança de Lagos is the new leader

Silves lost at home and was confirmed in the Downhill Phase

Esperança de Lagos is the new leader of the 1st District Division of the Algarve Football Association. The team led by Roberto Alberto beat Messinense, away from home, by 0-1, and took advantage of Imortal's home defeat (0-1) against Almancilense to isolate themselves in charge.

The team from Lagos now has two points more than second-placed Moncarapachense, who beat Lusitano by 1-2 in Vila Real de Santo António.

However, it doesn't depend on the Lacobrigenses to be in first place in the first phase of the championship, since, in the last round, which will be played next weekend, Esperança will have a good time. To maintain the lead, Immortal and Moncarapachense must not win their matches.

In this 21st round, it was also confirmed that Silves will play in the Relegation Phase in the second half of the season, after having lost at home, against 11 Esperanças, by 0-1. In addition to the Silvenses, Messinense and Guia did not manage to be among the top six.

In the last round, you will find out who occupies the last place in the Ascent Stage. Quarteira, who is in sixth place, can still be reached by Lagoa, who beat Quarteiras in this round (1-0), and by Lusitano.
