Cataplay will bring theater, music, dance and gastronomy to Monchique on Saturday and Sunday and bring together old friends: cataplana and products from the mountains, namely sausages. The sessions, with free entry, are scheduled for 18:00 pm on the 2nd and 3rd.
Actors Tânia Silva and Mário Spencer are once again the protagonists of this performance full of humor and take on the role of the famous Al-Chef and the cook Marafada, «who discuss among themselves the recipes of life, society, passion or love. love, while reflecting on the origins of the cataplana, this mysterious and unique tool in the world».
At the same time, the team from Tertúlia Algarvia, a restaurant in Vila-Adentro de Faro, will be preparing a cataplana, to give the audience a taste at the end.
In Monchique, taking into account that the sessions take place in the context of the Feira dos Enchidos, these will be the main star of the cataplana to be served, as well as the pork loin. To accompany, there are wines from the Algarve.
Cataplay is promoted by Tertúlia Algarvia and has the support of “365Algarve”. The sessions are spoken in Portuguese and subtitled in English.
