Motorhome drivers who do not comply with VRSA rules pay fines of up to 200 euros

Regulation defines which sites are authorized to practice motorhomes in the municipality of VRSA

The new Municipal Regulation for Carrying out Motorhome Activities, in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, is already in force. The document regulates the regime of motorhome activities and seeks to clarify and order the parking, parking and the presence of motorhomes on public roads, as well as establishing that administrative offenses are punishable by fines ranging from 150 to 200 euros, an amount that reverts to the Town hall.

According to the Chamber of VRSA, "the regulation also seeks to discipline the presence and abusive parking of motorhomes in public places in the municipality, namely on seafronts or along beaches, which, in recent years, has limited turnover and the amount of offer of places in the bathing areas, generating situations of conflict with the permitted uses and activities».

The regulation also designates the sites authorized for the practice of motorhomes in the municipality of VRSA: the Municipal Camping Park of Monte Gordo, the VRSA Riverside Front Parking Space (wall) and the Manta Rota Beach Front Sea Parking Space.

According to the regulation, "only the parking of vehicles will be allowed for the purpose of staying overnight in legally consigned places, and the municipality has also placed new complementary signs in the car parks, in order to comply with the regulation and make the rules clear'.

"According to the provisions, administrative offenses are punishable by fines, with inspection being carried out by the competent services of the City Council, the police authorities and other police and administrative entities", concludes the Chamber of VRSA.
