The musical “West Side Story”, by Leonard Bernstein, will be revisited at the III Algarve International Piano Festival, in a concert scheduled for February 10th, at 17 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.
This is a project supported by the cultural program “365Algarve”.
“West Side Story” is a famous musical by Leonard Bernstein. Pianists António Rosado and Armando Mota and Percussionists from Lisbon will perform this work in a formation rarely played in Portugal. Its presentation requires a high quality of execution, demanding from the interpreters a high technical quality and expressive capacity.
Alongside this work, António Rosado and Armando Mota (the latter being the artistic director of the Festival) will perform other compositions for two pianos, as well as the Percussionists of Lisbon will present some percussion pieces that stand out for their musical originality.
With an estimated duration of 60 minutes, the show is aimed at audiences over the age of 6 years. Tickets cost 12 euros or 10 euros for people over 65 and under 30, with discounts on the Friend Card applicable.
