Six students from Secondary João de Deus are intern in companies in Italy

This is the fourth work experience abroad that João de Deus Secondary School provides to the best students of professionally qualifying courses

Six students from the João de Deus Secondary School, from Faro, will do a professional internship, during the month of May, in San Quirico d'Orcia, Italy, within the scope of the Erasmus + project «Professionals of the XNUMXst century - An Adventure through Europe IV».

These are students Catarina Horta, Nuno Mendonça, David Paulino and Lowen Sacritt, from the Multimedia Technician Professional Course, and also Maeva Ferrand and Irina Silva, from the Communication, Marketing, Public Relations and Advertising Professional Course, under the coordination of the teacher Maria João Seruca.

The companies where the internships will take place will be defined by the Italian project partner of the Algarve school, Fondazione A. Tagliolini.

This is the fourth work experience abroad that João de Deus Secondary School offers to the best students of professionally qualifying courses, under the European Erasmus+ program «KA1 – Individual Mobility Project for Learning Purposes», which finances all student expenses . Previous experiences took place in Italy, Belgium and Poland.

With this project for two years, «it is expected to facilitate the insertion in the labor market for students of professional courses and promote the transparency of qualifications», explains the Secondary, in a press release.

The beneficiary students of the project “will have the possibility to develop technical, relational and organizational skills that only training in a work context allows”.

On the other hand, «experience in a foreign country requires the student to develop other skills, such as improving the English language and, in this case, learning the Italian language and recognizing cultural and multicultural diversity».
