Portimonense was defeated this Tuesday by 1-0 by Desportivo de Chaves, at Estádio Municipal de Portimão. The team from Trás-os-Montes entered the field in the last place of the league table of the I League, but made a living and ended up taking home three points.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 38th minute, by Costinha, who had already threatened Ricardo Ferreira's goal, in the opening minutes of the match.
Halftime came, after the second half of the match, but Portimonense was not very dangerous, contrary to what the fans were used to. And only in the final minutes was there a real forcing of the Algarvians, but that did not come to avoid defeat.
With this result, Portimonense remains in the 8th position of the championship, with 27 points, when 19 rounds of the XNUMXst League championship have been played.
In turn, with this victory, Chaves rises to 17th place, still in the relegation zone, with 15 points, but abandoning the position of "red flashlight".
