The Portimão City Council will install 117 new bus shelters in the municipality until the 15th of March.
This will force the removal of the 37 shelters that currently exist, works that will take place between the 8th and the 31st of January.
With this measure, the City Council intends to «respond to a large gap existing in the municipality, allowing other comfort to the citizens who use the “Vai e Vem” urban service».
In this way, the municipality will continue the public tender called “Concession for the private use of the public domain of the Municipality of Portimão for the installation and advertising exploitation of urban furniture”, under which a further 54 mupies will also be installed (Urban Furniture for Information ).
In the latter case, the Chamber intends to “respond to the requests of economic agents who seek external communication and advertising media in the municipality”.
