More than 50 thousand people passed through the riverside area of Portimão during the end of the year. Richie Campbell, David Fonseca, Axé Brasil and Dj Oskar were the artists who performed in the 2018 farewell, which lasted three nights.
The party started on December 29th with the sound of Richie Campbell, continued on December 30th with the performance of David Fonseca and, on the last day of the year, the farewell took place to the sound of Brazilian music rhythms with Axé Brasil and with Dj Oskar, who animated the riverside area until around 3:00 am.
On December 31, musical entertainment also invaded the riverside area of Alvor and, «when the strokes of midnight sounded, the skies were lit from Praia da Rocha, and in the riverside area of Portimão and the riverside area of Alvor by the usual fireworks, in an 8-minute fireworks display that featured more than 22 thousand shots in the Areal da Praia da Rocha and 7500 in each riverside area», highlights the Câmara de Portimão.
The end-of-year program in Portimão was jointly organized by the Portimão City Council, Portimão Parish Council and Alvor Parish Council.
