Farense lets the advantage slip and loses against Académico de Viseu

Rui Duarte's team already has two consecutive games without winning

Farense lost 2-1 against Académico de Viseu, in a game counting for the 17th round of the II Football League, played this Sunday, January 13th. The Algarvians even scored first, but ended up being defeated. 

The first goal of the match was scored in the 27th minute, through Fábio Nunes, a Farense winger who has been in evidence in recent matches.

But even before the break, Académico de Viseu tied. Forward N'sor was the author of the goal, when 44 minutes were played.

In the second half, Académico, coached by the Algarve Manuel Cajuda, was reduced to 10 players by expulsion, at 63′, by Fernando Ferreira (second yellow).

Even so, and despite the numerical disadvantage, Viseu's team, playing at home, took the lead. N'sor scored twice in the match, on 65′, and made the final 2-1.

With this defeat, Farense added the second consecutive game without winning – in the last one, they had drawn 3-3 with Arouca. The Algarvians total 23 points and occupy the 9th place in the table.

In the next game, Rui Duarte's team will play away from home again, with Famalicão.
