Contemporary Textile Art by Graça Costa, the photodocumentary exhibitions “Homens da Falésia”, a tribute to the shellfish collectors of Aljezur, and “Mar Profundo Português”, by IPMA, the sculpture exhibitions by Abílio Febra and Rui Matos, contemporary art by the Artever Group , the collective “Objetos com Garbage”, inserted in the Blue Flag activities, photography by Diogo Rosa and even painting by Tom Bund are the exhibitions scheduled for the two rooms of Espaço+, in Aljezur, which open in February and can be seen until end of the year.
For the Parish Councils of Odeceixe and Bordeira (temporary exhibition room), Espaço+ prepared, among others, the exhibitions of painting by Balbina Barreto, Photography “4 Estações”, by Diogo Rosa, Drawings of Fences, the Exhibition de Artesanato – IV Exhibition of Crafts by Local Craftsmen and the exhibition “The moon between us” - The forest fires of Portugal, by Frederik Beerbaum.
Inaugurated on the 25th of April 2006, Espaço+ is an equipment of the Municipality of Aljezur, which «takes into account the factor that Cultural Tourism can also be defined as the re-encounter between two logics: one that develops reception and stay capacities. , the other that values content, learning about the natural place, heritage and men».
Espaço + has been carrying out and promoting on a permanent and systematic way cultural events (exhibitions, theater, music, dance, workshop, book presentation, lectures, cinema, etc.) not only in its own physical space, as well as in the entire area of the county.
