A couple was found dead and with gunshot wounds inside their home, in Lagoa, this Saturday, in the early afternoon.
Contacted by Sul Informação, the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro revealed that at 12:03 pm “a request to open the door with help was made. Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found two people with injuries that appeared to be from a firearm and called the police authorities».
There are already elements of the Judiciary Police at the site and everything indicates that it will be a homicide followed by suicide.
The victims are "a man and a woman, aged between 50 and 60, both of Portuguese nationality" and their death "was declared on the spot".
According to CM TV, which advanced the news, despite the warning having been around noon, "the deaths will have occurred hours earlier, possibly the night before" and will have been caused by shots from a shotgun.
A neighbor of the couple told Correio da Manhã that the man would work in the City Council, in the garbage collection sector.
22 operational staff were involved in the operation, supported by nine vehicles, namely members of the Fire Department of Lagoa, the GNR, the PJ and the Council's psychological support and social action services.
