The President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa announced today, in a note on the President's website, that the 2019 Legislative Elections will take place on 6 October.
The same note adds that the elections for the Madeira Regional Assembly take place two weeks before, on 22 September.
The note on the website of the Presidency of the Republic on the Internet adds that "the presidential decrees setting the dates of these elections will be published in due course next year."
the district of Faro elects 9 deputies, which, in the October 2015 elections, were distributed as follows: 4 deputies for the PS, 3 for the PSD (2) and CDS (1) coalition, 1 for the Left Bloc and 1 for the CDU .
In all, in the country, 230 deputies are elected.
