A meeting between the British community residing in Ourique and Marcelo Guerreiro, Mayor, will take place this Friday, December 14, at 14 pm, at the Centro de Convívio of this Alentejo town.
The Municipality of Ourique says, in a press release, that "it has been following the development of the Brexit process with the sense of someone who counts on the British community to build an even better future for the region."
This community is already «today a relevant part of the population residing in the municipality», according to the municipality.
“The process of leaving the United Kingdom from the European Union, known as Brexit, presents a new reality within the framework of European construction and the mechanisms for circulation and permanence of British citizens in the community space”, he concludes.
