The Algarve accordionists Nelson Conceição and João Palma will be in China from Friday, December 7th, until Sunday, December 9, at the invitation of the Shanghai Accordion Association.
Nelson Conceição goes to China as a delegate of the Mito Algarvio association and as a Jury for the 71st Accordion World Cup, an event that took place in September, in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The Algarvian accordionist and teacher will participate in a seminar for teachers at the Normal University of Shanghai, on the teaching of music and accordion, as well as a Masterclass, "where Nelson Conceição will work with several young music students," according to Mito Algarvio .
João Palma, a student of Nelson Conceição, will star in a concert at the International Accordion Festival held in this Chinese city.
The president of Mito Algarvio considers that this invitation comes “as a result, not only of the performance of Nelson Conceição, as a member of the Jury, representing Mito Algarvio, but also of the brilliant performance of his student João Palma, who was crowned world winner in the Junior Virtuoso category».
