Seven medals for the Algarve swimmers was the final balance of the Zonal Youth Tournament, played last weekend at the Municipal Swimming Pools of Tomar.
Laura Estevens, from the Swimming Club (CN) of Olhão, was champion in the 100 and 200 meters breaststroke, having also conquered the 3rd place in the 400 meters freestyle and 400 meters styles.
Ângelo Nascimento, also from CN Olhão, was vice-champion of the 200m moth. José Rodeia (Swimming Club of Faro) and João Carrasco (Portinado) took 3rd place in the 200 meters moth and 200 meters breaststroke, respectively.
Swimmer Laura Estevens was also part of the top 5 of the best performances in the Tournament, with 596 points, achieved in the 400m freestyle event, and with a time of 4:38.66.
In total, eight clubs from the Algarve Swimming Association were present, with a total of 41 swimmers.
