Lagoa joins the project to reconcile professional, personal and family life

Câmara de Lagoa is one of the 47 initial partners of the pilot project “3 em Linha”

The Câmara de Lagoa was one of 47 entities nationwide to join the “3 in line – for the reconciliation of professional, personal and family life” project. This platform was officially launched on December 5th, in a ceremony that took place in Lisbon and was attended by Prime Minister António Costa.

The program “proposes a cultural change that calls on society to make a collective commitment to measures with an impact in the short, medium and long term, to promote a balance between professional, personal and family life in the public and private sector”.

«Thus, and because Lagoa has the conciliation between the professional, personal and family dimensions on its agenda, a Conciliation Pact was signed which foresees the integration of the Lagoa City Council in the 47 national entities that adhere to the conciliation pilot project (among 21 bodies of the Central Administration and public companies, 11 municipal councils and 15 private companies)”, announced the Lagoon municipality.

The Câmara de Lagoa plans to implement, «in the first phase, three conciliation measures, voted out of 16 as priorities by the municipality's workers, in a participative process. Subsequently, a package of measures related to working time and the development of personal and family support systems will also be voted on”.

As one of the entities that has adhered to the program from the outset, the Câmara de Lagoa says it reveals its commitment «in developing an internal program towards effective equality between women and men for full citizenship and enabling the realization of free choices in all spheres of life».

The impact of this program will be evaluated three years after its launch.
