Docapesca has launched a tender for the work to reinforce the protection of docks 1 and 2 of the Fishing Port of Rio Arade, located in the municipality of Lagoa, between Portimão and Ferragudo.
The intervention, budgeted at 63 thousand euros, aims to "improve the safety conditions in the embarkation and disembarkation of crews and in the parking of the respective vessels", according to the public company.
For this, “258 rubber fenders will be mounted on the jetty no. 1, for lateral attachment to the existing chain suspension ring”.
"The works also include the installation of new sections of rubber on the sides of the upper ring for suspension of the fenders already mounted on the two jetty bridges," added Docapesca.
The technical solution that will be applied “was developed jointly with fishermen and local shipowners, in order to better adapt to the characteristics of the respective vessels”.
