CRESC Algarve 2020 approves another 2,6 million euros in investments

Operational program execution rate is 17%

The Board of Directors of CRESC Algarve 2020 approved, at the last meeting, another set of investments totaling 2,6 million euros. 

The most significant investments approved were in the Endogenous Resources Development Plan (PADRE), with an investment of 1,1 million euros, which will be applied in the construction of the Casa da Aldeia de Cachopo (Tavira), in Energy Efficiency in Public Infrastructures, with an investment of 714 euros for projects in Loulé, Silves and São Brás de Alportel, and even more part of the Urban Regeneration Action Plans (PARU), in the amount of 825 thousand euros, referring to two projects to be developed in Lagoa and São Brás de Alportel, benefiting from incentives from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the amount of 1,2 million euros.

In addition, certified modular training was approved for workers in micro and small companies, in the amount of 88 thousand euros and which will receive support of 44 thousand euros from the European Social Fund (ESF).

During the meeting, Francisco Serra, president of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, revealed that, this Friday, 7 December, Prime Minister António Costa and Corina Cretu, European Commissioner of the Regional Police, will announce, in Lisbon, the reprogramming of Portugal 2020.

The president of CCDR Algarve took the opportunity to present a status report on the performance of the Algarve 2020, stating that, at the end of November, the execution rate is at 17%, in line with the other regional operational programs, with a rate of compromise that is around 60%.
