The Tivoli Carvoeiro hotel, in Lagoa, won the award Best for Families of the Excellence Awards Conde Nast Johansens 2019. The hotel was one of four to be distinguished in Portugal, in the geographical area of Europe and the Mediterranean.
The Tivoli Carvoeiro was one of the two developments in the Algarve that were nominated for these awards, awarded by Condé Nast, editor of Vogue, GQ, Tatler, Condé Nast Traveler and Vanity Fair magazines, and which are aimed at luxury hotels.
The other nominee from the Algarve, Monte Rei Golf & Country Club, from Vila Real de Santo António, competed in the category Best Serviced Accommodation, but did not win.
The other Portuguese hotels distinguished in the Condé Nast Johansens 2019 awards were Infante Sagres, from Porto (Best Newcomer or Back on the Scene Hotel), the Santiago de Alfama Hotel, in Lisbon (Best Urban Hotel), and the Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, in the Azores (Readers' Award).
