Spoken Words are heard again in the Gym Club of Faro

This will be the second edition of the Spoken Word Festival – Calceteiro de Letras, where poetry is queen, but it doesn't walk alone

The «best that is done nationally in the area of ​​Spoken Word» will be shown at the Gimnásio Clube de Faro, downtown, from today, Friday, until Sunday. The association from Faro once again promotes a festival where poetry is the queen, either in its pure state or accompanied by other artistic expressions.

The 2nd Spoken Word Festival – Calceteiros de Letras begins today, at 21 pm, with the performance of “Bocados Mortais”, a group based in Alentejo “that dialogues through poetry, in a register Unplugged», according to the festival organizers. This is followed by the Lisbon artist “SOS – Silva O Sentinela”, «accompanied by two excellent musicians (piano and clarinet) in a captivating project of unparalleled quality».

On Saturday, the party is launched by the Algarvians “Kilavra”, at 21:45 pm, who will present a poetry and electronic music project. Also Mick Mengucci, Italian residing in Lisbon and «one of the great slammers of national stages”, will take the stage, bringing with him “the poetic word with multimedia and dance”.

Mick Mengucci will lead, on the same day at 15 pm, an orality workshop, open to «whoever wants to start the art of saying poetry in public»

The festival ends on Sunday, at 16 pm, with the project “Calceteiros de Letras”, in which several artists from the Algarve participate, and the special guest, Diana Lucas, recently featured on “The Voice,” with the theme “No Teu Poema”, which counts 00 million views on Youtube.

The program also foresees a video mapping projection at the opening of each session, idealized by designer João Franck, as well as daily moments with an open microphone, in which the audience «is challenged to show the poet within themselves».
