Silves has new Mobile Health Unit

This is a "more modern and functional" unit

This Tuesday, November 6th, the Municipality of Silves received a new Mobile Health Unit.

This unit, «more modern and functional», is the result of an investment of 75 thousand euros carried out by the Municipality of Silves and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, within the scope of CRESC Algarve 2020.

This application was presented by ARS Algarve in partnership with municipalities in the region, having obtained a participation rate of 80%.

"Especially dedicated to prevention, health surveillance and provision of scheduled health acts, doctors, nursing and others, for the population with more difficulty in traveling to health centers and health extensions in the county, the entry into circulation of this new Health unit will improve primary health care and proximity to the most vulnerable populations residing in low-density rural territories», explains the municipality of Silvense.
