JSD/Algarve went to Faro, Loulé and Albufeira weigh students' backpacks

Initiative integrated in the National Secondary Tour, of the Social Democratic Youth

JSD/Algarve went, on the 2nd of November, to the Secondary Schools of Faro, Loulé and Albufeira weigh students' backpacks, in order to find out what is the average weight that students from each district carry on their backs.

This initiative is part of the Social Democrat Youth Secondary National Tour, an initiative that aims to raise awareness of “the need for schools to adapt to the XNUMXst century, modernizing and adapting to new technologies”.

Therefore, JSD advocates the replacement of paper by digital books, E-Learning classes and classrooms equipped with tablets and computers.

In addition, JSD says that it wants "to reaffirm among young students its position on the commitment to non-formal education and on a greater appreciation of the subject of physical education."

The Volta Nacional do Secundário is an annual initiative that JSD promotes with schools across the country, demonstrating the proximity it wants to maintain with Portuguese youth.
