Jackson starts scoring in a draw between Portimonense and Belenenses

The Colombian striker's goal was not enough to guarantee the victory, which disappeared when the curtain came down.

Portimonense was winning until the 90th minute, but ended up drawing, 1-1, with Belenenses, in a game counting for the I League, played this Saturday at Municipal de Portimão. Despite the bucket of cold water, near the end of the game, the Algarve fans were able to celebrate a goal by Jackson Martinez, the Colombian's first for the Algarve team.

The first half was divided, although with few opportunities for both sides, and neither team managed to open the scoring until half-time.

It was after the break, and the penalty, that Portimonense's goal came – who changed equipment during the break. Jackson Martinez was brought down in the area and took it upon himself to convert the maximum punishment, debuting for the Algarve team, in the 66th minute.

 

 

Losing, Belenenses charged in search of the goal and came close to achieving it in the 72nd minute. But Léo, with a good defense, avoided the draw. Portimonense defended and tried to surprise the visitors with quick counterattacks.

The game was nearing its end, but it wouldn't end without another goal. At the end of the 90th minute, the referee signaled a penalty in favor of Belenenses, considering that the Portimonense defender Rúben Fernandes threw the ball with his arm, inside the area. João Capela also consulted the video referee, but he maintained his decision. Lucca did not forgive and scored the equalizer, in the 94th minute, a result that would remain until the end.

 

 

With this result, Portimonense went on to add 11 points in the XNUMXst League and remain well above the waterline of relegation.
