Algarve wines were shown at Campo Pequeno

Wine Commission participated in the Wine Market

Algarve wines were made known, in Lisbon, at Campo Pequeno, between the 19th and 21st of October, during the 7th edition of the Mercado de Vinhos, where several producers from the region were present.

According to the Algarve Wine Commission, Campo Pequeno «has already been a reference place for the presentation of Algarve Wines» where, after two years ago, having been the featured guest region, CVA was once again present «with its own space and a privileged location».

This space is then given to producers interested in promoting their wines, «in a wine event of great prominence in Lisbon and also internationally».

The total number of exhibitors is around 160, “and the turnout during the three days of the event is huge”, stresses the CVA.

At its opening, on Friday, "the concentration of people is already evident" and "this feeling almost exceeds the limit of what is reasonable on the weekend, with queues at the ticket office".

For this reason, the CVA considers «important the presence of Algarve Wines in this event, which also has the motto of “Small Producers, Great Discoveries” which is, in general, what happens in the Algarve, which is also why the organization cherishes the presence of
region of the Algarve».

This 7th edition of the event had Dão in the spotlight and its main novelty was “Conversations and a glass of wine”, in which several guests went up to the stage of the small auditorium in the center of the arena, to «talk about wine, their experiences and experiences».

One of these speakers was producer Luís Chaves, from Barranco do Vale, who spoke about his project in the Algarve and the Negra Mole variety, with which he makes one of his wines – a rosé – «which was quite successful at his stand for the difference and for the experience of tasting a wine with a unique variety in the world», says CVA.

This differentiating factor is, according to the Algarve Wine Commission, “important because the event has lots of tourists, visitors and foreign press and all are unanimous in confessing that what interests them is to know exclusive wines, with unique characteristics of their wines. "terroir" as well as stories and experiences associated with wines, producers or their properties and vineyards».

The Algarve stand was attended by the producers of Malaca Wines, Herdade dos Pimentéis, Herdade do Barranco do Vale and also representatives of Casa Santos Lima whose project, according to Soraia Inês, «is going well in the Algarve, with a tendency to grow, being the Algarve certification and the name itself on the labels an attractive factor, especially in the UK».
