Urban Sketchers from across the country meet in Lagos

Meeting will have sketchcrawls, commented visits and a lecture.

The Urban Sketchers National Meeting will take place in Lagos, on the 3rd and 4th of November. The program includes sketchcrawls, commented visits and a lecture.

As explained by the Câmara de Lagos, «Urban Sketchers Portugal is a non-profit association, formed on the model of the International Urban Sketchers Association. It brings together people whose great passion is drawing and who carry that passion into their daily lives and into their lives».

“We regularly make drawings of what we observe, promote and participate in meetings and show our drawings on a blog, which anyone can access, both to see and to publish. We generally draw in a notebook – the graphic diary – and, through this practice, we become more observant, evolve in our abilities and record our memories», explains the association blog.

«We want more and more people to make this type of drawing, regardless of their training, “having the ability” or getting it “to look good”. Practice helps to improve but contributes, above all, to … being happier!” he adds.

All events are free and open to all designers, and outdoor activities, namely Arte Xávega, depend on weather conditions.

More detailed meeting points will be indicated in the days prior to the event in the blog and on the Facebook of the Urban Sketchers Algarve.
