Music, Nature, Gastronomy and Street Art are the main dishes of October in the Algarve

Dozens of cultural and sporting events that will take place throughout the month in the 16 municipalities of the Algarve are on display in the «Algarve Guide»

Vestra Fashion, by João Frade, Ana Perfeito and Sickonce (“365 Algarve” event), the 9th Bird Watching Festival, from 4th to 7th October, in Sagres (Vila do Bispo), and Rota do Petisco, a gastronomic odyssey that begins on the 4th, by restaurants and pastry shops in the Algarve with menus inspired by local products, are the events with the cover of this month's «Algarve Guide».

The publication also has a "detachable" dedicated to the next edition of "365 Algarve", which starts on the 4th, at 21 pm, with an original opening concert in the Manuel Bivar garden, in Faro. The idea of ​​travel is the concept that best symbolizes the 3rd edition of the cultural program that the Algarve proposes to carry out, between October 2018 and May 2019, with more than 400 events that complement the existing offer.

The «Guia» is published by the Algarve Tourism Region and has free distribution online and at tourist offices, hotels, travel agencies, rent-a-car and golf courses in the region.

Other highlights of this edition are, in terms of exhibitions, the ARTURb 2018 - Stencil Masters Edition, 8th edition of this unique project in the Algarve, which involves some of the most important names in the current world street art scene, to watch until November 3rd at the Laboratory of Creative Activities (LAC), in Lagos.

In Olhão, in its municipal auditorium, on the 13th, at 21 pm, "La Porteña Tango & Eugenia Giordano" will take to the stage, a tango show with the special participation of Argentine singer Eugenia Giordano and pair of dancers Amira Luna and Damián Roezgas.

In sports, the Mamamarathon, on the 7th, from 8:00 am, in the riverside area of ​​Portimão, which is integrated for the first time in the Portugal a Correr initiative, should be highlighted. The event, with the aim of solidarity in favor of the Oncological Association of the Algarve, includes a walk/run (6 km) that promotes the practice of physical exercise as a way to prevent cancer, particularly breast cancer.

As for fairs, October is the month of BLIP (Better Living In Portugal), one of the biggest fairs for foreigners residing in Portugal, on the 13th and 14th, at Portimão Arena.

Finally, in music, the highlight goes to the concert by Carolina Deslandes, one of the references of contemporary national music, on the 31st, at 21 pm, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
