The municipalities of Aljezur and Odemira will jointly celebrate the Municipal Day of Equality, on the 24th of October, with a meeting of young people at Ponte de Odeceixe, a Color Run, a walk through the village and cultural and sporting activities.
The commemoration of the Municipal Day of Equality begins at 10:30 am, at Ponte de Odeceixe, followed by a Color Run and a Walk for Equality, to which students from the 3rd cycle of basic education from S. Schools Groups were invited. .Teotonio and Aljezur.
From 11:30 am, sporting and artistic activities alluding to the theme of Equality will be promoted at Grupo Desportivo Odeceixense's headquarters and, at 14:00 pm, the Pedagogical Project “Amar-te e Respeitar-te” will be presented, with the performance of Jimmy P.
Also within the scope of the Municipal Day of Equality, between the 24th and 30th of October, the awareness campaign for Gender Equality will be publicized, with the motto “Quality people promote Equality” and, on the 30th of October, at 18:00 pm, at Espaço + Aljezur, the winning story will be presented and the prize of the Intermunicipal Literary Contest “A bridge to Equality” will be awarded, with the presence of the writer Alice Vieira.
The initiatives are part of the Intermunicipal Plan for Gender Equality – “A Bridge to Equality”.
